How our testing works

Every reference vial we sell is tied to a third-party analytical report for its batch. Here is exactly what gets tested, what the numbers mean, and how you get the paperwork.

1. 1 — Identity confirmation (LC-MS)

   Each batch is run by liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry to confirm the molecular weight matches the declared sequence. If identity does not confirm, the batch is rejected — it never reaches the catalog.

2. 2 — Purity by HPLC

   High-performance liquid chromatography measures the percentage of the main peak against related impurities. We list batches at 99%+ purity and the exact measured figure appears on that batch's certificate.

3. 3 — Net peptide content and vial conformity

   The report states net peptide content per vial and vial-by-vial conformity, so the amount stated on the label is the amount you can reference in your protocol.

4. 4 — Lyophilization and sealing

   Material is lyophilized and sealed under controlled conditions, then labeled with the lot so every vial traces back to a specific report.

5. 5 — Certificate delivered with your order

   The batch certificate of analysis for the exact vials you purchased is attached to your order. Open it any time from My Orders — each copy is watermarked to your account.

Reading a certificate of analysis

Batch / lot number

Ties the report to the specific production run your vials came from. It should match the lot printed on your label.

Identity (LC-MS)

“Confirmed” means the observed mass matches the theoretical mass of the declared peptide.

Purity (HPLC %)

Area of the main peak as a percentage of total peak area. Higher means fewer related substances co-eluting with your target.

Net peptide content

Actual mass of peptide in the vial, separate from residual salts and water. This is the figure to use when calculating working concentrations.

Chromatogram

The raw trace behind the purity number, so you can see the peak profile rather than trusting a single figure.

Storage and handling

• Sealed lyophilized vial: store at -20°C for long-term storage; short transit at ambient temperature is acceptable for lyophilized powder.
• Keep vials sealed, dry and protected from light until you are ready to reconstitute.
• After reconstitution, store at 2-8°C and use within the window your protocol validates; for extended storage, aliquot and hold at -20°C or below.
• Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles — aliquot into single-use working volumes instead.

Reconstitution notes

• Let the vial reach room temperature before opening to reduce condensation on the lyophilized cake.
• Add bacteriostatic or sterile water slowly down the inside vial wall — do not spray directly onto the powder.
• Swirl or roll gently until fully dissolved. Do not shake or vortex aggressively; mechanical shear can degrade peptide structure.
• Record lot number, diluent volume and date on the vial so your working concentration is traceable to the batch COA.
